Since 2008, more than 300 graduates have successfully completed the training and built their pilot careers with Air Astana, becoming First Officers and Captains.
🕒 Training duration: 16–18 months
🌍 Training location: the best flight schools in Europe
🎓 Employment: upon completion of the program – type rating training and employment with Air Astana
💡 Training is financed by the airline. Participants reimburse only 75% of the total cost over 15 years of employment.
🔹 Candidate Requirements
- Citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- Aged 18 to 34 years
- Completed secondary or vocational education
- English language level not lower than Intermediate
- Basic knowledge of mathematics and physics
- Compliance with medical requirements (Class 1 Medical Certificate)
- No criminal record
- Valid passport and eligibility for a Schengen visa
🔹 Selection Stages
Stage I: English language test (Intermediate level) or valid IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 79 certificate
Stage II: SHL – aptitude tests assessing numerical and verbal reasoning skills
Stage III: COMPASS – computer-based tests measuring psychomotor coordination, logic, mathematics, and physics
Stage IV: Medical examination (Class 1) and confirmation of English proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL certificate)
Stage V: Final stage – simulator assessment, group exercise, and individual interview
