Room 8 Studio is looking for highly qualified 3D artists with the skills to create weapons and hard surface assets for AAA games. The ideal candidate is able to complete all stages of model creation – from block out to implementation in the engine, is familiar with various pipelines and has a deep understanding of form, construction, and materials.

Requirements
- Confident SubD modeling in Max/Maya;
- Knowledge of CAD modeling and software – Plasticity or Fusion360;
- Sculpt of the hard surface assets in Zbrush;
- Confident level of skill in creating low-poly models and retopology, understanding the principles of modular systems, and the ability to optimally distribute polygons on the asset;
- Ability to create optimal UV mapping for various types of textures (tiles, rectangular, UDIM);
- Ability to bake in several programs to solve problems encountered during baking;
Texturing in Substance Painter;
- Basic knowledge of Substance Designer;
- Understanding of the import and materials setting in the engines (UnrealEngine 4, Unity, Lumberyard, etc.);
- Understanding of modern pipelines and requirements for creating realistic weapons and equipment;
- Ability to follow and correctly interpret/improve the concept idea;
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset to work in dynamic, creative environments.
Would be a plus
- Knowledge of Marvelous Designer;
- Materials creation in Substance Designer;
- Intermediate+ English level (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Create high-poly and low-poly models of equipment and weapons for games on given concepts and requirements;
- Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
- Texturing;
- Work with game engines.
