We are currently looking for an experienced
3D Character Artist to work with us.
In this role, you will work on realistic 3D characters for a commercial game project with an existing audience and visibility on Steam.
For us, a character is not just a model - it is an important part of the story, visual style, and emotional perception of the scene. We are looking for a specialist who understands the full pipeline of creating real-time characters for Unity and can combine technical accuracy with strong visual quality.
- Create 3D character models considering anatomy, proportions, and the visual style of the game;
- Work with existing character models and adapt them when needed;
- Optimize models for Unity;
- Set up character rigs in Blender;
- Create high-quality PBR textures;
- Work on realistic materials for skin, hair, clothing, and other character elements;
- Set up soft tissue, skin, breast, hair, and other physics-based elements;
- Optimize physics for Unity, including Cloth, Soft Body Physics, Jiggle Bones, and Dynamic Bone;
- Work with Blender and Unity PhysX when required;
- Make sure characters meet both artistic and technical project requirements;
- Collaborate with the team and adjust assets based on feedback.
We are looking for a specialist who:
- Has experience working as a 3D Character Artist;
- Is confident working in Blender;
- Has experience with Unity and real-time character pipelines;
- Understands anatomy and the principles of creating realistic characters;
- Has experience creating and optimizing game-ready character models;
- Knows how to work with PBR textures and materials;
- Understands model and physics optimization for game engines;
- Pays attention to detail and visual quality;
- Can work independently while staying aligned with the team’s requirements;
- Is comfortable receiving feedback and making adjustments.
- Experience with Shader Graph and/or Amplify Shader;
- Experience with Unity HDRP and/or URP;
- Understanding of GPU optimization;
- Experience working with LOD systems;
- Experience with realistic characters for visual novels, story-driven games, or adult-themed projects;
- Understanding of how body shape, materials, movement, and visual details affect the player’s perception of a character.
