Are you passionate about your work and want to pursue your dreams?
Join the ZiMAD team, and let’s collaborate to create exceptional games together!
ZiMAD is a US mobile game publisher and developer that has been at the forefront of the gaming industry since 2009. We are a dynamic multinational team, speaking 15 languages and living in 63 cities across 17 countries. With an impressive portfolio of world-class free-to-play projects, including titles like Magic Jigsaw Puzzles, Puzzle Villa, Art of Puzzles, Dominoes, and many others, we constantly push boundaries and believe that games can be more than just entertainment.
We’ve forged partnerships with internationally renowned IPs (like Disney, Nickelodeon, LIFE, Sony Pictures etc.) and strive to develop games that sharpen mental well-being and deliver remarkable user experiences.
We are looking for a UX Designer to improve player flows and interface logic across our live mobile F2P products. You will analyse the current player experience, identify friction points in relevant journeys, propose practical improvements, communicate them clearly to Art and Development, and review implementation in the game. Depending on priorities, the work can cover FTUE/onboarding, gameplay, meta, monetisation or other interface flows.
This is a hands-on UX role focused on how the product works for its audience, not a people-management or Art Director position.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse player journeys and interface logic across assigned products; switch focus as product priorities and tasks arise, and identify friction, unnecessary complexity and unclear interactions
- Propose practical UX improvements that reflect the game’s genre, target audience and product constraints, including FTUE/onboarding where relevant
- Design the UX/UI structure of player-facing screens: flows, information hierarchy, wireframes, interaction states, prototypes and implementation-ready UX documentation
- Make incremental UX improvements and articulate when broader UX refactoring is needed; do not treat cosmetic screen changes as the default solution
- Work with the team during implementation, clarify UX/UI logic for player-facing screens and review the result in the build
- Collaborate with Game Design, Product, Art, Development and Analytics; consider LiveOps and monetisation constraints where they affect player experience
- Contribute reusable UX patterns and practical guidelines for the team
Requirements:
- Strong practical UX design skills: structured thinking, sound rationale for decisions and ownership through implementation
- Hands-on experience with mobile F2P games or comparable interactive products; casual, puzzle or related experience is a plus
- Understanding of contemporary UI patterns and quality standards in mobile F2P games, and the ability to apply them appropriately to a specific genre and audience
- Understanding of FTUE/onboarding, core and meta loops, progression and the way UX can affect clarity, player experience and monetisation
- Ability to analyse existing player journeys and improve them while preserving the product context and the expectations of its current audience
- Professional proficiency with Figma or comparable tools; ability to produce clear flows, wireframes, annotated concepts and other implementation-ready UX deliverables
- Ability to explain the expected impact of a UX change, identify relevant data or assumptions and avoid treating an untested hypothesis as a guaranteed metric uplift
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with live mobile products, FTUE/onboarding improvements, analytics collaboration, A/B testing or qualitative player research
- Experience reviewing implementation in a build; familiarity with Unity, adaptive layouts, safe areas, localisation or device fragmentation
We offer:
- Opportunity to work for ZiMAD, a US company with a diverse portfolio of global free-to-play (F2P) projects with a multi-million monthly user base
- Involvement in the entire product development cycle
- Career growth prospects within an international company
- Remote work opportunities
- Flexible working schedule
