We’re creating OneState, a mobile life simulator built in Unity. Our art team is facing ambitious challenges as we develop the project with a realistic approach and high standards for visual quality and technical solutions.
We use modern technologies and tools, continuously refining our pipelines and aiming for the highest level of quality and immersion.
If you are seeking to be a part of an engaged team, work on captivating projects with minimal bureaucracy, and receive regular, constructive feedback, then you’ll find your place with us.
What we want to see:
- At least 3 years of commercial experience as a Technical Animator with a strong gameplay focus.
- Ability to implement basic character locomotion from scratch and connect animation with the character controller.
- Hands-on experience with Unity, including solid knowledge of Animator, Blend Trees, Animation Rigging, and Playables API.
- Proficiency in C# at a level sufficient for independent system integration and debugging.
- Clear understanding of skeleton hierarchy, export/import processes, retargeting, and animation compression in Maya or MotionBuilder.
- We are also open to strong candidates from Unreal Engine (AnimBP, Control Rig, IK Rig) who understand the core principles and are ready to transition to Unity.
Additionally, it would be great to have:
- Experience working on multiplayer projects, third-person shooters, or mobile games.
- Experience implementing complex traversal mechanics, such as parkour, climbing, Motion Warping, or physical animation.
- Skills in writing automation tools using Python, MEL, or C#.
What you will be doing:
- Build character locomotion logic (transitions, blending, layers) from scratch without relying on pre-made template plugins.
- Setup combat mechanics, including aiming, shooting, recoil, and weapon grip points.
- Implement inverse kinematics (IK), foot adaptation to uneven terrain (Foot IK), and procedural hit reactions.
- Integrate animations from 3D software into the game engine and connect them with gameplay code.
- Monitor performance, conduct system profiling, and resolve technical issues for target platforms.
- Create internal tools and scripts to automate asset import, export, and content validation.
- Work closely with animators, game designers, and programmers to bring creative ideas to life.
