About the Position
We are looking for a Tech Lead Python Developer with MCP to lead the design and development of an enterprise AI service registry platform. In this role, you will define registry architecture, establish governance standards, and build scalable services that support discovery, authentication, lifecycle management, and integration of AI tools and MCP servers across the organization.

The project focuses on creating a centralized platform for registering, discovering, governing, and securing AI services and MCP servers. The solution enables standardized metadata management, semantic discovery capabilities, enterprise identity integration, and controlled lifecycle management for AI enabled services.
About the Team
You will work with a cross functional team of platform engineers, backend developers, cloud specialists, architects, and security stakeholders. The team follows an iterative delivery approach with a strong focus on scalability, governance, security, and engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise scale registry and catalog solutions for MCP servers and AI services
- Develop backend services using Python, FastAPI, and DynamoDB
- Define and maintain MCP server metadata schemas aligned with canonical contract standards
- Design and implement service discovery and registration workflows
- Integrate enterprise identity services and establish Entra Agent ID mapping capabilities
- Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and enterprise security standards
- Develop semantic discovery capabilities using embeddings, vector search, and intelligent tool lookup mechanisms
- Implement credential management and secret handling using Vault technologies
- Define governance processes, lifecycle management workflows, and approval mechanisms
- Collaborate with architects, platform teams, and security stakeholders to align technical solutions with enterprise standards
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and engineering best practices
- Create and maintain technical documentation, service standards, and operational procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, platform engineering, or related software development roles
- Experience designing and implementing registry, catalog, or metadata management platforms at enterprise scale
- Strong Python development experience
- Experience building REST APIs and backend services using FastAPI or similar frameworks
- Experience with DynamoDB or comparable NoSQL databases
- Experience implementing OAuth 2.0 and JWT based authentication and authorization
- Experience integrating governance workflows, approval processes, and lifecycle management controls
- Experience designing metadata schemas, service contracts, or catalog structures
- Knowledge of MCP concepts and service integration patterns
- Strong understanding of platform architecture, security, and scalability principles
- Experience leading technical initiatives and providing guidance to engineering teams
