About the role:
The Accounting & Core Engineering team owns the financial logic at the center of the platform — GL structure, postings, fees, product accounting. You'll join as a Systems Analyst to define, document, and ship that logic end-to-end.
What you'll do:
- Work at the intersection of accounting and engineering — translating financial processes (GL, postings, fees, product rules) into technical specs that development teams can build from.
- Reverse-engineer existing solutions to find gaps, understand behavior, and formalize what's undocumented.
- Run implementation from spec to production: testing, acceptance, and release control with finance, product, and IT stakeholders.
What you'll own:
- Elicit and formalize requirements for accounting processes and financial systems, producing specs and user stories development teams can act on directly.
- Design posting logic, GL structures, and fee mechanics for new and existing products.
- Analyze and document systems with incomplete or missing documentation — establish what exists before defining what needs to change.
- Coordinate across finance, product, and engineering to align requirements and resolve conflicts between business logic and technical constraints.
- Participate in testing and acceptance, and own tasks through to production release.
What makes you a strong fit:
- 2–3+ years as a System/Business Analyst.
- Experience working with financial systems or financial processes.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles; hands-on GL experience is a strong plus.
- Proven decomposition and system analysis skills — you can map complex processes and find what's missing.
- Experience coordinating requirements across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- English B2 or above — you'll work with international stakeholders regularly.
- Comfortable working with APIs, queues, and data exchange patterns; able to read logs and use data for issue analysis.
