Senior UI/UX Engineer
EPAM Systems is partnering with a leading California-based technology company specializing in consumer electronics, software and online services. As a Senior UI/UX Engineer based in Shanghai, you’ll collaborate with top industry experts to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced AI/ML applications, primarily focusing on LLM-based chatbots and similar generative AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Sketch to communicate interface ideas and service enhancements
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and users to translate conceptual ideas into user-centered designs
- Maintain a consistent and intuitive user experience across platforms by following established design guidelines
- Conduct user research to identify pain points and collect actionable feedback to inform design decisions
- Design and implement responsive user interfaces optimized for various devices and screen sizes
Requirements
- Experience with UI/UX design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision and Zeplin
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3 and basic JavaScript
- Demonstrated proficiency as an AI power user, actively leveraging AI tools to optimize design workflows and productivity
- Knowledge of responsive design frameworks, design systems and Ant Design
- Background in user research methodologies, interaction design, usability testing and A/B testing tools
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards including WCAG and related testing tools
- Experience with collaboration and version control platforms such as Jira, Miro, Notion and Git
- Clear communication skills in English to articulate design processes and manage client relationships
- Experience designing interfaces for AI or machine learning products and solutions is an advantage
