Senior Test Automation Engineer (Mobile)

We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer (Mobile) to join our team supporting a leading multinational corporation in the healthcare industry that develops medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and consumer packaged goods.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated mobile tests using Robot Framework and Appium
• Execute tests on Sauce Labs (cloud), local simulators/emulators, and physical devices
• Prioritize iOS test coverage first, then extend automation efforts to Android
• Configure Appium desired capabilities for different test environments and device configurations
• Implement test reporting mechanisms, including PDF metadata validation
• Upload and manage automated test results in Jira Xray
• Define comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, and exploratory testing scenarios
• Perform manual regression and exploratory testing as needed to complement automation coverage
• Manage defect reporting, triage, and tracking through resolution
• Partner closely with engineering teams to improve application testability and architecture for testing
• Collaborate with developers to triage test failures and identify root causes
• Maintain and evolve the test automation framework to support new features and platforms

Requirements

• 4+ years of mobile QA automation experience
• Expertise in Robot Framework for test automation design and execution
• Proficiency in Appium for mobile application testing (iOS and Android), including configuring desired capabilities for various device/platform combinations
• Skills in Python for developing custom keywords and extending automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Sauce Labs or similar cloud-based device testing platforms
• Familiarity with local simulators/emulators and physical device testing setups
• Knowledge of Xcode, Android Studio, and ADB tooling for mobile test environments
• Background in test reporting mechanisms, including PDF metadata validation
• Competency in integrating automated test results with Jira Xray for defect and test case management
• Understanding of regression testing, exploratory testing, and defect lifecycle management
• Capability to collaborate with engineering teams to improve application testability
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD, functional testing, and regression testing
• Background in Healthcare, Medical Devices, and MedTech domains
• Familiarity with Mobile Native development and REST API testing
• Skills in test estimations, test strategy development, and test planning & reporting
• Proficiency with the Xray plug-in for Jira
