Senior Systems Engineer (Cloud)
Step into a pivotal role as a Cloud Developer at EPAM Singapore. With your deep expertise in Terraform and AWS, you will design, implement and maintain scalable infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions. You will be the subject matter expert collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security and high performance of our cloud environments, driving impactful business results.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and configurations for AWS infrastructure provisioning
- Collaborate with application, security and internal teams to translate business requirements into robust IaC solutions
- Implement and manage AWS Landing Zones using Terraform to establish standardized, secure and compliant multi-account environments
- Drive continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure through advanced automation, ensuring high availability and cost efficiency
- Develop Terraform state management strategies, including remote state backends, state locking and disaster recovery procedures
- Implement infrastructure security controls and compliance requirements through Terraform, following AWS best practices
- Create detailed documentation and coding standards for cloud infrastructure components
- Troubleshoot complex deployments and provide technical leadership on infrastructure design patterns
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
- Relevant senior-level experience with Terraform, including advanced features such as modules, workspaces, providers and state management
- Deep expertise in AWS services and architecture, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation and AWS Organizations
- Proven experience implementing AWS Landing Zones and multi-account strategies using Terraform
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python and Bash, for automation and integration with Terraform workflows
- Comprehensive understanding of AWS security services, compliance frameworks and infrastructure security best practices
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment, including tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline
