Senior Staff Software Engineer

Essential functions

·      Design and oversee architecture of Android application components, ensuring scalability, modularity, and long-term maintainability.

·      Lead implementation of key features and drive migration efforts from legacy technologies to modern Android stack using Kotlin and Jetpack libraries.

·      Guide team members in applying Clean Code principles, architectural best practices, and modern Android development patterns such as MVVM and MVI.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, Product, and Backend to refine requirements.

·      Own and improve CI/CD pipelines for Android, optimizing build times and enabling efficient release cycles.

·      Conduct code reviews, provide technical leadership, and facilitate knowledge sharing across the team.

·      Contribute to planning by estimating development efforts and identifying technical risks.

·      Analyze production issues and lead resolution efforts, focusing on stability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Master of Science in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: At least ONE (1) year of experience in the job offered or at least ONE (1) year of experience in the following:

1. Native Android development using Kotlin, Java, KMP
2. Applying Clean Architecture principles and SOLID design patterns in mobile development
3. Integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
4. Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for Android projects
5. Migrating legacy mobile codebases to Kotlin
6. Dependency Injection using Dagger
7. Tracing and profiling Android applications to identify performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and optimize build times and runtime performance
