Senior SRE Engineer
We are looking for a Senior SRE Engineer to build and support an API management platform within Azure cloud environments. The role is hands-on, requiring senior-level expertise in infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines and API management solutions, with the ability to contribute to multiple ongoing projects while collaborating effectively within the EST time zone.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain API management solutions, primarily Microsoft APIM
- Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible within Azure
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, mainly using Jenkins and Azure DevOps
- Collaborate with a diverse team to troubleshoot and resolve platform issues
- Provide expertise and recommendations based on experience with different API management platforms
- Participate in multiple projects, adapting to shifting priorities and resource constraints
- Contribute to ongoing initiatives with senior-level hands-on engineering work
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related DevOps roles
- Strong background in API management platforms such as Microsoft APIM, Tyke or Kong
- Extensive hands-on expertise in Terraform, Ansible and Azure cloud environments
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance with Jenkins and Azure DevOps
- Capability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Skills in problem-solving and adaptability to changing priorities
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with more than one API management platform such as Tyke or Kong
- Familiarity with other cloud providers or hybrid cloud setups
- Knowledge of a broader DevOps toolset
- Exposure to troubleshooting complex platform issues across different environments
