Senior SAP Retail Master Data Consultant
We are seeking a Senior SAP Retail Master Data Consultant to translate complex business needs into best-in-class SAP solutions across multiple formats, channels, countries and business models. In this role, you will design, configure and deliver scalable master data solutions, coordinate with offshore teams, support European Operating Companies and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into advanced capabilities using best-in-class standard packages
- Identify necessary localization or enhancements, supported by clear business cases
- Create functional requirements to guide application design and development
- Propose solutions, configure the system and write detailed WRICEF functional specifications
- Coordinate with offshore development teams to ensure technical solutions align with the functional requirements and quality standards
- Conduct Unit/Functional testing and support integration and user acceptance test (UAT)
- Deliver best-in-class, scalable, sustainable and integrated business solutions across multiple formats, channels, countries and business models
- Contribute to Change Management efforts by providing training content and supporting organizational transformation
- Provide 3rd Level functional support, application administration and troubleshooting across all European Operating Companies in scope
- Collaborate with peers across applications/modules to ensure seamless integration
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure optimal cooperation within their domain of expertise
- Identify opportunities for business process and system enhancements with a clear business case in collaboration with the vendor
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience implementing SAP applications from design to Go-Live, with a minimum of 5 years in SAP IS Retail functionalities
- Knowledge of SAP IS Retail master data business processes (Article, sites, customer, vendor and info records, pricing conditions, article hierarchies)
- Expertise in business change, escalation, process management and business systems requirements definition
- Capability to deliver best-in-class SAP solutions with good-quality design, based on complex business requirements
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP IS Retail master data functionalities, architecture and data model
- Proficiency in managing core master data objects including Article (Single, generic, variants), Site (Store, DCs), customer, vendor and purchase info records, assortment and listing/delisting, pricing conditions and article hierarchies
- Expertise in the enhancement process of master data objects with additional fields in standard and custom tables, screens and tabs, along with hands-on SAP configuration (IMG)
- Skills in creating custom Fiori apps for master data maintenance (article/vendor/customer/site master data, assortments) and knowledge of parameterization framework and value mappings logics
- Understanding of integrating master data objects with POS, WMS and ecommerce platforms, including ALE/EDI frameworks, idocs and file transfers (CSV, XML, JSON), APIs, ODATA and middleware such as SAP PI/PO or MuleSoft
- Expertise in standard IDocs, creation and extension of custom message types and IDocs, and familiarity with standard BAPIs, Function modules, RFCs and user exits
- Experience using standard mass update tools and creating custom mass update tools and LSMW
- Understanding of end-to-end retail processes - P2P (SAP MM), Merchandising, O2C (SAP SD) and integration between the modules including FI
- Capability to facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, analyze requirements and translate them into functional specifications with technical details
