Senior SAP CAP/BTP Developer

We're looking to bring on a Senior SAP BTP/CAP Developer skilled in building enterprise services using up-to-date methods. The position involves full ownership of designing and executing scalable, event-driven microservices on the BTP platform, bridging core SAP infrastructure with modern cloud APIs by way of CAP, Node.js/Java, and robust security practices

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver enterprise-grade microservices and extensions through the use of SAP CAP
• Build backend components focused on strong performance using Node.js and/or Java
• Map out integration strategies connecting SAP BTP, core platforms such as S/4HANA, and external APIs via OData and REST
• Introduce solid cloud security practices, covering identity propagation and access control, relying on XSUAA and the BTP Destination Service

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field of study
• At least 3 years of relevant hands-on experience
• Direct experience constructing enterprise-grade applications using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
• Competency in Node.js and/or Java for the development of backend microservices
• Background connecting SAP BTP with core SAP offerings and external APIs, including REST and OData
• Working familiarity with SAP BTP security, XSUAA authentication methods, and destination management practices
• Upper-Intermediate English language competency (B2)

Nice to have

• Earning an SAP BTP certification, such as SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, would be seen as a strong asset
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori elements and event-driven architectural approaches built around SAP Event Mesh
