Senior SAP CAP/BTP Developer

We're seeking a Senior SAP BTP/CAP Developer with a forward-thinking approach to enterprise service development. In this capacity, you'll take charge of architecting and implementing scalable, event-driven microservices on the BTP platform, linking core SAP infrastructure to modern cloud-based APIs via CAP, Node.js/Java, and dependable security frameworks

Responsibilities

• Plan and construct enterprise-grade microservices and extensions utilizing SAP CAP
• Create efficient, high-performance backend solutions using Node.js and/or Java
• Build out integration frameworks connecting SAP BTP, essential SAP systems such as S/4HANA, and third-party APIs using OData and REST protocols
• Put in place strong cloud security controls, covering identity propagation and access authorization, by means of XSUAA and the BTP Destination Service

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Practical, hands-on background developing enterprise-level applications through the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
• Skilled in Node.js and/or Java for building backend microservices
• Experience connecting SAP BTP with essential SAP solutions and third-party APIs, encompassing REST and OData
• Familiarity with SAP BTP security protocols, authentication through XSUAA, and destination service management
• Upper-Intermediate English language competency (B2)

Nice to have

• Possessing SAP BTP certification, like SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, would be a notable advantage
• Exposure to SAP Fiori elements along with event-driven architectural patterns using SAP Event Mesh
