Senior SAP ABAP Engineer

We are seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Engineer to design, develop, and optimize complex inventory valuation and actual costing solutions. In this role, you will be the technical anchor for our financial ledger engineering team, translating specialized accounting requirements into high-performance ABAP and S/4HANA code.

Work from office required - office on schedule (On-site presence, Business trips, bootcamps, conferences, etc.).

Office type - EPAM office, Customer office.

Office attendance - every 2nd week or as agreed with the client

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain advanced Object-Oriented ABAP, BAdIs, and extensions specifically for the Material Ledger module
• Design high-performance SAP HANA CDS Views and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) to process heavy financial data volumes
• Collaborate with functional teams to ensure seamless data flow between ML, Product Costing (CO-PC), and Material Management (MM)
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize complex multi-currency variance calculations and data pipelines within the Universal Journal (ACDOCA)

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development within Material Ledger, Product Costing (CO-PC), or Material Management (MM) environments
• Expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, BAdIs, and extensions for the Material Ledger module
• Proficiency in SAP HANA CDS Views and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP)
• Understanding of data flow integration between ML, CO-PC, and MM modules
• Skills in troubleshooting and optimizing multi-currency variance calculations and data pipelines within the Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
