Senior React Native Engineer

We are looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to join a team building the next generation of digital experiences for a leading U.S. restaurant brand. In this role, you will develop and enhance high-quality mobile applications that serve millions of customers, working alongside a talented engineering team in a modern, cloud-native environment.

Our client is a digitally forward U.S. restaurant brand with a highly scalable cloud architecture powering its mobile applications, web platforms, kiosks, and delivery operations. The company is continuously investing in cloud modernization to improve guest experience, platform reliability, operational efficiency, and engineering velocity across its digital ecosystem.

Please note that this project requires an adjusted working schedule, with working hours extending until 12:00 a.m. We are therefore seeking engineers who are comfortable with and available to work within this schedule.

Essential functions

• Contribute to enhancements and modernization of the client’s mobile application
• Develop and maintain new UI cross-platform components
• Implement and support features across react-native app
• Update mobile login flows to support system-wide OTP
• Optimize app–backend communication with newly modernized Cloud Run services
• Support improvements in order injection and café operational flows
• Align the app with updated customer hub logic (removal of username-based authentication)
• Refactor legacy components
• Improve UI responsiveness

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with React and React Native for building cross-platform mobile applications
• Solid knowledge of Redux Toolkit for state management
• Experience with Xcode and Android Studio for native mobile development and debugging
• Knowledge of integrating and consuming REST APIs
• Experience setting up and maintaining Mobile CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Expo for React Native development
• Experience using Storybook for component development and documentation
• Knowledge of Jest for unit testing and test automation

Would be a plus

• Experience integrating cross-platform mobile apps (Android, IOS)
• Experience with mono-repository codebases (Nx, yarn workspace)
• Experience with Expo ecosystem app
• Strong understanding of mobile security, authentication
• Performance profiling & UI optimization
• Experience with accessibility cross-platform API (Android, IOS, Web)
• Experience Integration with middleware architecture based REST APIs
