Senior Quality Engineer (Java)
You will contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing solutions to support application quality, system reliability, and delivery efficiency. Responsibilities include working on API and UI test automation, supporting regression and validation efforts, integrating testing within CI/CD processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve overall testing coverage and product performance in cloud-based environments.
Essential functions
- Design, develop, and maintain automated API test suites using Java, ensuring reliable validation of business logic, integrations, and error handling across services.
- Create and execute Postman collections for exploratory, regression, and smoke testing, and integrate critical API tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Implement and maintain UI automation for critical user flows using Playwright (Java), focusing on stability, reusability, and fast feedback.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure test automation runs reliably in GCP environments, improving test coverage, pipeline health, and overall product quality.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in API testing and automation using Java, with solid understanding of REST principles, request/response validation, and negative testing.
- Hands-on experience with Postman for API exploration, test scripting, and regression testing, with the ability to transition manual tests into automated suites.
- Practical experience in UI test automation using Playwright (Java), including building stable tests for critical user journeys.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions) and testing applications deployed in cloud environments such as GCP.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar.
