Senior QA Engineer – Data Quality (AQA)
We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer specializing in Data Quality to join a team driving one of the largest data landscape consolidations for a global consumer goods leader. If you're passionate about data validation and love working across the full stack, from raw data ingestion to enterprise-grade lakehouse platforms, this role is for you.
Essential functions
- Validate that data has been migrated correctly into the Enterprise Data Foundation's (EDF) bronze and silver layers
- Design and execute end-to-end (E2E) integration tests covering applications rewired to feed from the EDF
- Design and implement unit and functional tests for Data Quality (DQ) rules
- Provide hands-on deployment support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on data quality issues and contribute to remediation plans
- Learn and adopt new tools and platforms quickly (e.g., Databricks Unity Catalog, Informatica Governance, Informatica Data Quality)
- Contribute to and evolve the team's data quality testing standards and frameworks
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience as a Data Quality Engineer, QA/AQA Engineer or Data Test Engineer
- Solid experience writing automated tests and validation scripts using Python
- Strong SQL and data reconciliation/validation experience
- Experience designing test cases, test strategies and DQ rule testing (unit and functional)
- Prior experience providing deployment support during UAT
- Solid understanding of structured SDLC and test methodologies
- Advanced English — written and spoken
Would be a plus
- Experience with large-scale data migration or data lake projects
- Familiarity with Databricks Unity Catalog or similar lakehouse platforms
- Familiarity with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) or similar DQ/governance tooling
- Exposure to structured table formats — Parquet, Iceberg, Hudi or Delta Lake
- Experience performing RCA on data quality issues and driving remediation plans
