We are looking for a specialized Senior Python Engineer to join our team.
This role focuses on modernizing cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and engineering practices within an AWS-centric environment. The position offers the opportunity to drive impactful migrations, contribute to AI-enabled engineering improvements, and shape secure, scalable platform foundations.
Responsibilities
- Operate within a spec-driven software development lifecycle
- Develop AI-driven enhancements for design, delivery, and triage practices
- Assess emerging tools and solutions as potential candidates for enterprise-level AI enablement offerings
- Design, build, and maintain AWS Lambda services and API Gateway endpoints using Python and boto3
- Lead the CI/CD migration from legacy cicd-functions pipelines to GitHub Actions workflows
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform as the primary tool, supported by Serverless frameworks
- Carry out brownfield refactors, service decommissions, and migrations, such as OAuth migrations, WAF block-mode enablement, and Mythos SAST/SCA remediations
- Configure and fine-tune AWS WAF rules and address security findings surfaced by SAST and SCA tooling
- Automate operational workflows and contribute to agentic platform initiatives, with tools such as n8n, LangChain, or equivalent orchestration solutions considered a plus
- Partner with the SRE Consultant on telemetry gaps and Lambda-based data collection automation
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Python development background with a focus on AWS Lambda and API Gateway in production environments
- Fluency with boto3 across services including IAM, Secrets Manager, SSM, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and WAF
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for production-grade infrastructure as code, including writing, refactoring, and reviewing modules
- Practical experience with the Serverless Framework, including maintaining and migrating legacy stacks
- Hands-on authoring of CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, with comfort leading a cicd-functions to GHA migration
- Experience configuring AWS WAF rules, enabling block mode, and supporting incident response
- Familiarity with security tooling such as SAST and SCA, along with exposure to a structured compliance program
- Brownfield mindset with a proven record of migrations, decommissions, and refactors rather than greenfield development
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (B2+ level or higher)
Nice to have
- Experience integrating internal and third-party systems through REST APIs, including flows such as ServiceNow OAuth client credentials
- Familiarity with Snowflake for cloud data warehousing, analytics, and data platform integration
