Senior Node.js Full Stack Developer

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable enterprise applications in the retail and consumer order management domain. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise across frontend and backend technologies, cloud-native architectures, event-driven systems, and DevOps practices. This role requires a highly collaborative engineer who can independently drive technical initiatives, mentor team members, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Essential functions

·       Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable full-stack applications.

·       Build modern and responsive frontend applications using JavaScript, React, or Vue.js.

·       Develop backend services and APIs using Java with Spring/Camel and Node.js.

·       Design and implement automated testing frameworks using Cucumber, JUnit, and related tools.

·       Build and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS leveraging services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3.

·       Design event-driven architectures using Kafka, JMS, DynamoDB, and Amazon MQ.

·       Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Splunk and SignalFx.

·       Own CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and production support activities.

·       Drive engineering best practices including code quality, PR reviews, branching strategies, and collaboration workflows using GitHub and Jenkins.

·       Work independently with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.

·       Mentor engineers and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.

·       Demonstrate an AI-first engineering mindset by leveraging modern AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and learning.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of hands-on software development experience with strong full-stack engineering expertise.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React.js (preferred) or Vue.js.
• Solid backend development experience using Node.js and/or Java with Spring Boot.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and scalable microservices architectures.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including:
  • AWS Lambda
  • API Gateway
  • DynamoDB
  • S3
  • Step Functions
• Good understanding of event-driven and distributed systems architecture, including messaging technologies such as Kafka, JMS, or Amazon MQ.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as:
  • Jenkins
  • GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and quality engineering practices using tools such as JUnit and Cucumber.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Splunk and SignalFx.
  
  Non-Technical Requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, and Full-Stack Developers.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and drive deliverables to completion.
  • Comfortable participating in architectural discussions, technical design workshops, and solution reviews.

• Exposure to large-scale retail/e-commerce/commerce platforms.
• Experience working within highly scalable, distributed cloud-native environments.
• Familiarity with domain-driven design (DDD) principles and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Prior experience collaborating closely with UX teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
• Experience contributing to system architecture decisions and modernization initiatives.
