About the Position
We are looking for a hands-on NetSuite QE Senior who can own quality for finance order-to-cash and still write the tests. You will test NetSuite billing and Advanced Revenue Management workflows, build UI and API checks in TypeScript and Playwright with AI-assisted tools and agents, review generated tests, investigate cross-system failures, and provide release-readiness evidence.
This position is intended for Hyderabad-based candidates who are available to work from the office.
About the Project
Our client uses Oracle NetSuite as its financial system of record for order-to-cash, billing, revenue recognition, tax, refunds, and membership. Quality Engineering covers ERP regression, financial change, and the integrations connecting commerce and candidate systems to NetSuite.
Responsibilities
- Own quality for an assigned finance order-to-cash area, from requirements analysis and test design through functional execution, in-sprint automation, exploratory testing, defect resolution, and release-readiness input.
- Validate purchases end to end across storefront or registration flows, integration events, NetSuite billing records, downstream entitlements, and revenue plans.
- Design and execute coverage for sales orders, cash sales and invoices, payment events, promotions, price exceptions, vouchers, corporate billing, refunds, cancellations, and tax-sensitive scenarios.
- Test revenue recognition as a multi-stage process, including arrangements, elements, recognition rules and plans, fair-value allocation, carve-out, prospective merges, deferrals, and background-job timing.
- Write and maintain TypeScript and Playwright tests, using API checks as the default and UI automation for business-critical flows or fields that are not exposed through an API.
- Use AI-assisted tools and agents across requirements analysis, test design, code authoring, and suite maintenance, and review generated tests for missing coverage, correctness, and domain risk.
- Design reusable end-to-end scenarios and verification cases, using soft assertions, dynamic product data, and stage-aware revenue-recognition runs that avoid parallel data collisions.
- Keep test cases, ownership, tags, eligibility, and CI results traceable, and maintain sandbox users, API tokens, and a record of permission-restricted scenarios.
- Investigate missing or incorrect orders across integration events, APIs, ERP script logs, and downstream systems, then report and verify defects through resolution.
- Support pre-production regression, finance and tax sign-off, and controlled production smoke testing without using production as a general test environment.
Requirements
- Senior-level hands-on Quality Engineering experience across requirements analysis, test design, functional and exploratory testing, defect management, automation, and release readiness.
- Practical experience testing Oracle NetSuite or a comparable finance ERP, with strong understanding of order-to-cash records and transaction lifecycles.
- Working knowledge of revenue recognition concepts and the ability to test multi-stage financial processing, allocation, deferrals, refunds, and background jobs.
- Hands-on TypeScript and Playwright for UI and API automation, including SuiteTalk, REST, or an equivalent ERP API, with the ability to write and explain the tests and judge when a UI check is still required.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent, including agents, across requirements analysis, test design, code authoring, and suite maintenance, with review of generated tests for missing coverage, correctness, and domain risk.
- Ability to design reusable verification coverage, apply soft assertions to long transactional flows, and manage test data that must not collide in parallel execution.
- Experience testing integrated systems and tracing failures through event processing, API responses, application logs, and downstream outcomes.
- Experience with TestRail or equivalent traceability, CI regression, and Git.
- Ability to assess financial and revenue risk, separate release blockers from lower-impact defects, and communicate clearly with engineering, product, finance, and tax stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management, including arrangements, elements, plans, prospective merges, fair-value allocation, carve-out, and formulas used to challenge expected revenue amounts.
- Experience testing tax, multi-entity, localization, corporate billing, voucher, or price-exception workflows in an ERP.
- Experience maintaining automated coverage through ERP form-layout or field-placement changes.
- Familiarity with event-driven commerce integrations, dead-letter queue investigation, or payment and entitlement workflows.
Technologies
Oracle NetSuite ERP and Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), TypeScript, Playwright, SuiteTalk and ERP REST APIs, AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent), including agents, TestRail or equivalent test case management, Git, CI pipelines, NetSuite UI and script execution logs, integration and event-processing logs
