Senior Murex Support Engineer
EPAM is a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and software development services, with two offices in Switzerland (Zurich, Geneva).
We're looking for an experienced Senior Murex Support Engineer to join our team onsite in Lausanne. In this role, you will provide hands-on L2/L3 production support for risk modules in a complex trading environment. You’ll ensure timely and accurate execution of critical risk processes, troubleshoot incidents and maintain platform stability under strict SLAs. This is an operationally demanding role requiring strong technical expertise, business awareness and on-call availability.
Responsibilities
- Deliver L2/L3 support for risk modules, including on-call duties for intraday and end-of-day batches
- Diagnose and resolve issues affecting risk calculations, market data inputs and reporting outputs
- Implement approved configuration changes and validate across environments
- Collaborate with internal teams and software vendors on complex technical issues
- Monitor environment health, perform housekeeping and ensure high platform availability
- Maintain accurate incident records, runbooks and operational documentation
- Support regression testing for platform upgrades and vendor patches
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience supporting ETRM platforms (Murex MX.3 or similar), focusing on risk functionality
- Working knowledge of market risk measures, sensitivities and reporting in financial or commodity markets
- Strong SQL skills for troubleshooting and reconciliation
- Familiarity with ETRM batch architecture, market data workflows and integration
- Experience with Unix/Linux systems including batch job monitoring, basic scripting (Shell, Python)
- Understanding of ITIL processes for incident, problem and change management
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent technical/quantitative discipline
- Fluent English, knowledge of German or French is an advantage
- Willingness to work in shift rotation and on-call support model
