Project description
We've been engaged by a large Australian financial institution to provide resources to their Murex program. Joining this program, you will work with an established client team across project initiation through implementation, with a strong focus on Murex integration and MxML workflows.
Responsibilities
- Development and enhancement of Murex MxML workflows and integration components
- Technical analysis, solution design, and validation of MxML-based implementations
- End-to-end ownership of tasks in collaboration with Business Analysts and Testing teams
- Review and validate AI-assisted code to ensure alignment with Murex architecture and integration standards
- Work closely with stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office teams
- Contribute to projects including regulatory changes, system upgrades, and continuous improvements
SKILLS
Must have
- 5+ years of hands-on Murex experience, specifically in
- MxML Exchange / MxML workflows
- Trade lifecycle integration
- Pre Trade, Interfaces, Confirmations, Market Operations
- Strong expertise in MxML integration, including
- XML / XSLT transformations
- Routing rules, event handling, and workflow orchestration
- End to end interface design and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Java (not core development focused), including
- Ability to understand and review integration components
- Exposure to Murex APIs, Services, and integration logic
- Strong SQL skills (Oracle/PostgreSQL) and Unix/Linux scripting
- Good understanding of capital markets, trade workflows, and FO–BO–MO processes
- Technical knowledge of XML, XSLT, Java, SOAP/REST services, and integration patterns
- Experience working in an agile squad environment supporting rapid delivery
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact with stakeholders and write clear, professional communication
Nice to have
• DevOps experience on Murex (GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, etc.) is highly regarded
• Experience in FRTB & TDS in Murex
