We are hiring a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to join our team and support a large-scale enterprise collaboration platform serving thousands of users across multiple business units. This role is ideal for a proactive, senior-level engineer with deep Microsoft 365 expertise, strong automation skills, and a passion for building scalable, sustainable solutions. You will play a key role in operating, optimizing, and evolving the platform while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Essential functions
- Operate, support, and continuously improve enterprise Microsoft 365 services.
- Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
- Plan and execute complex Microsoft 365 migration, tenant consolidation, and tenant decommissioning initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance to User Services teams and support complex issue resolution.
- Act as a 3rd Level Support engineer, analyzing and resolving advanced technical issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and platform standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver Microsoft 365 improvements and strategic initiatives.
- Lead Microsoft 365 and Entra ID cleanup activities, including distribution lists, shared mailboxes, SharePoint sites, Teams, and access-related objects.
- Reduce operational backlog by identifying recurring issues and converting manual processes into automation, documentation, or long-term platform improvements.
- Contribute to post-merger integration activities and Microsoft 365 modernization projects.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience as a Microsoft 365 Engineer in enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation.
- Experience working in hybrid environments with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra Connect.
- Experience supporting large-scale Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Would be a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Graph.
- Experience planning and executing Microsoft 365 migrations, tenant consolidations, or tenant decommissioning projects.
- Experience with M&A, carve-out, or post-merger integration projects.
- Experience driving platform standardization and automation initiatives.
- German language skills.
