Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Consultants to be part of the project
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
- 1. L3 Production Support & PBI Ownership
- Provide L3 support for Core Banking applications
- Own and manage PBI (Problem/Incident) resolution end-to-end
Perform:
- Incident triaging (P1/P2 issues)
- Root cause analysis (RCA)
- Issue resolution and closure
- Handle ~20 PBIs per month / 60 per quarter
2. Problem & Change Management
- Manage:
- Problem tickets and resolution lifecycle
- Change management process for production releases
- Support production deployment activities
- Provide post go-live support for 1 month
3. Technical Development & Support
- REM - FIS Payments Platform
- Work on COBOL (AS400)
- Understand remittance functional domain
- ROS - FIS Payments Platform
- Work on RPG (AS400)
- Handle:
- Payments and bulk payments processing
- Integration with front-end systems
- Batch downstream processing for transactions
4. Tools & Coordination
- Work with:
- Control-M (job scheduling)
- Perform:
- Project coordination and tracking
- Knowledge management and documentation
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with:
- Business teams
- Infrastructure teams
- Cross-functional teams
- Ensure timely resolution and communication of issues
6. On-call & Support Model
- Provide support during:
- Business hours
- On-call support for P1/P2 incidents
SKILLS
Must have
- 6+ years of strong experience in:
- AS400 development (COBOL & RPG)
- Experience in:
- L3 production support / incident management
- Core Banking / Payments domain
- Good understanding of:
- Remittance and payment processing systems
- Batch processing and system integrations
- Hands-on experience with:
- Control-M or similar scheduler tools
- Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills
- Experience in change and release management
