Senior KDB+ Engineer
We are seeking a Senior KDB+ Engineer. You will partner with quantitative and electronic trading teams to build real-time analytics on a niche, high-impact capital markets stack. You will deepen your kdb+/q expertise, work hands-on with FX market data and help evolve scalable platforms used for time-critical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance kdb+/q solutions across tick architecture, data access, market data feeds and real-time analytics
- Build and maintain application programming interfaces (APIs) that enable reliable data access and integration for downstream users
- Create shared components, reusable tools and common APIs to improve consistency, reliability and developer productivity
- Automate metrics, builds, testing and deployment to improve quality, performance and maintainability
- Partner with quantitative, electronic trading and technology stakeholders to translate needs into robust solutions
- Investigate data quality, performance and production issues and drive fixes through to completion
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with kdb+ and q, including performance-focused coding and production delivery
- Strong knowledge of kdb+ tick architecture, real-time processing and time-series data management
- Ability to query, analyze and combine large market and trade datasets to support decision-making
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including understanding of market data and trade flow concepts
- Experience with API development, reusable component design and automated testing practices
- Clear communication and confidence working with technical and business stakeholders
