Senior Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Senior Java Software Engineer with a strong focus on delivery to strengthen our engineering team.

Please note that working from the client's office in Krakow is required 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications
• Drive continuous integration and improvements
• Drive architecture, standards and guidelines for a globally deployed software solution
• Support product management in driving the product roadmap
• Work closely with the rest of the pod to ensure delivery of a robust and sustainable solution meeting business requirements with consideration of user experience
• Ensure alignment to the organizational guidelines, principles, standards and processes
• Advise Business Analysts, Testers and Management on all technical matters

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing Java applications
• Skills in SQL databases, ideally Oracle
• Knowledge of SDLC platforms and processes, including REX (release executor), the RFC process and GSNOW/Atlas
• Proficiency in a Linux-based server environment, including bash (shell) scripting
• Understanding of all aspects of the application development (SDLC) and support life cycle
• Well-developed business communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience working as part of a global team
• Strong personal prioritization and time management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Spring framework
• Experience working with MongoDB
• Familiarity with MS Azure Cloud platforms, Databricks and Denodo
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Git, GitLab Pipelines, Nexus, Ansible and RPM packaging
