Senior Java Developer

Responsibilities
- We're looking for a Java developer to:
- oversee projects, drive deliveries and fully hands-on designing and implementing high quality technical solutions to handle latency-sensitive trading algorithms
- design, develop and support front-office trading applications, working closely with business users to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into innovative solutions
- apply a broad range of software engineering practices to ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions, focusing on both functional and non-functional needs
- work closely with the global team to further develop and innovate the Quoting applications - building observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
- share knowledge and technical expertise, excellent team player with experience leading or mentoring more junior colleagues, contributing regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities
SKILLS
Must have
- 8+ years of experience in Java in banking industry
- Real time trading platforms experience (Warrants / Listed Options / Futures / Market Making & specifics of market links) is a must
- an excellent communicator with strong internal client relationship skills
- strong planning skills, well-organized and can work well under pressure
- demonstrated the ability to work effectively and potentially juggle several tasks simultaneously
- the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges, like changes to business requirements on a daily basis
- experience working in a front office environment, and comfortable facing off to the business
Nice to have
• knowledge of Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL, KDB, Excel/VBA and Unix programming will be a plus • knowledge of Equity Derivatives will be a plus • good understanding of testing and familiarity with different testing approaches. Familiarity of TDD / BDD will be a plus • knowledge of Web development will be a plus
