You'll be working in the Neo Access POD team, based in Poland. We look after the login and entitlements experience for "Neo", a globally distributed platform with 2m+ users. Authentication standards and technology are constantly shifting and we need to stay up-to-date with the latest trends.
We strive to provide our clients with the highest standards of security and reliability.
The Neo team has around 100 people, spread globally.
Responsibilities
- We're looking for a Java developer to:
- design, develop and support front-office trading applications, working closely with business users to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into innovative solutions.
- apply a broad range of software engineering practices to ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions, focusing on both functional and non-functional needs.
- work closely with the global team to further develop and innovate the trading applications - building observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues.
- share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.
SKILLS
Must have
- Excellent backend stack programming skills:
- Strong Java skills
- SQL and database knowledge.
- Takes an automated approach to testing to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Serve as a hands-on technical expert with an interest in learning new technologies and practices.
- Experience in a similar position focused on derivatives technology.
- A strong communicator with experience of working in a front office environment, facing off to the business and picking up business knowledge at every opportunity.
- Experience playing a full part in a closely knitted team environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and potentially juggle several tasks at the same time.
- minimum 8 years of experience
Nice to have
- Understanding of industry standard messaging protocols would be a plus, eg. FIX, Kafka,
- Experience with Javascript
