We are looking for an experienced Senior Golang Developer to help build and scale the services powering live event management, media processing, asset distribution, and hybrid edge-caching solutions. You will work on high-performance Go microservices, cloud-native architectures, and distributed systems that support mission-critical media workflows.
This role requires strong backend engineering fundamentals, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures, and an interest in solving complex media and streaming challenges at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and build production Go microservices using gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and grpc-gateway
- Develop backend services that support live event lifecycle management and media workflow operations
- Enhance hybrid media-cache services that connect on-prem file systems with Google Cloud Storage
- Own features end to end from API design and protobuf schemas to deployment and operational support
- Build event-driven services with Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Workflows
- Integrate services with Google Cloud media APIs including Live Stream API, Transcoder API, Video Intelligence, and Vision AI
- Create unit, integration, load, and Critical User Journey tests to protect core workflows
- Improve observability, monitoring, and performance to raise system reliability
- Collaborate with DevOps on Kubernetes deployments, Helm, Terraform, Istio configuration, and GKE rollouts
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and on-call support for services you own
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience, including 3+ years building production services in Go
- Strong expertise with Go concurrency patterns, context-aware programming, error handling, graceful shutdown, and service reliability
- Strong API design skills with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, grpc-gateway, and RESTful services
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and Google Cloud APIs for backend integrations
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals for service reliability and performance
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) for collaboration and technical communication
