Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Hybrid in NYC)

We’re looking for Senior Full-Stack Engineers for work in our client’s Production Management division. You’ll be responsible for the development and overall implementation of AI-enabled web applications in a complex, critical and large cross-departmental and multi-disciplinary area.

The role is part of a multi-year transformation journey that will require a successful candidate to establish best practices, motivate and promote a cultural shift that will ensure a successful adoption of Engineering Principles and Practices within Production Management.

The role requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Accountable for delivery of a full range of end-to-end projects.

Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally.

Essential functions

• Oversee the end-to-end SDLC to deliver scalable, resilient, and enterprise-grade software solutions.
• Ensure application compliance and operational rigor within a strictly regulated industry environment.
• Lead and coordinate initiatives across globally distributed, matrixed engineering teams (onshore/nearshore/offshore).
• Elevate service reliability and user satisfaction through rigorous incident management, problem management, and process efficiency.
• Champion CI/CD, performance tuning, automation, and systematic root-cause analyses (RCAs).
• Implement and scale Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) integrated with organization-wide processes.
• Coach and upskill engineers across the organization while identifying and eliminating engineering anti-patterns.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain clear, proactive reporting on project progress and team delivery.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success developing business-critical software solutions with a clear understanding of product and commercial impact.
• Strong engineering and system design capabilities, with experience designing modular, scalable architectures from the ground up.
• Experience building modern web applications using design systems, paired with strong product intuition for UI/UX.
• Hands-on experience implementing automated E2E testing suites using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including systems architecture, networking, OS concepts, and container technologies.
• Adaptable full-stack approach with the ability to quickly master new programming languages and toolchains as project needs evolve.
• Practical understanding of modern SDLC practices, continuous deployment, and GitOps workflows.
• Experience designing and tuning SQL, NoSQL, and distributed caching systems for performance and scale.
• Excellent cross-stack debugging and root-cause analysis skills across application code, data layers, and underlying infrastructure.
• Experience of delivering software using Agile delivery methodologies is a must (SCRUM/Kanban).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.

Would be a plus

• Operational experience of deploying and running services at scale on top of Docker/Kubernetes stack and a service mesh, like Istio, is highly desirable
• Operational experience with orchestration tools for CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (Terraform, Cloud Formation, etc.) is a highly desirable
• Operational experience of using middleware technologies (MQ, Apache Kafka, etc.) to run services at scale is desirable
• Strong experience with end-to-end observability stacks (Datadog, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, etc.) is desirable
