Krisp is hiring a Senior Director of Business Development for banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) to build and own our commercial motion in this vertical globally. Krisp’s AI voice products run inside contact centers at scale, and financial services is where call quality, caller authentication, and regulatory scrutiny all land on the same conversation. The role targets banks, card and payment providers, lenders and mortgage servicers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators, plus the outsourcing partners and global capability centers (GCCs) that operate their servicing, collections, and claims contact centers.
This is a remote, US-based individual contributor role reporting directly to Krisp’s Chief Commercial Officer. Expect 30% to 40% travel.
Build the BFSI pipeline across retail and commercial banking, cards and payments, lending and mortgage servicing, collections and recovery, wealth, fintech, and property, casualty, life and annuity insurance, and across the BPOs and GCCs that run their voice operations. Focus on the functions where voice volume concentrates: customer servicing, disputes and chargebacks, fraud operations, collections, mortgage default servicing, KYC and onboarding, first notice of loss, claims handling, policy servicing, and retention desks. Position Krisp’s AI voice products against the outcomes these buyers are measured on. Partner with Sales on timely handoff of qualified opportunities and stay in the cycle where the relationship carries weight.
Build senior relationships on both sides of the market. Enterprise side: Chief Customer Officers, Heads of Contact Centre and Customer Operations, Heads of Fraud and Financial Crime, Heads of Claims and Policy Servicing, VPs of Servicing and Collections, and the CISO, operational resilience, and third-party risk teams that gate every deal. Partner side: BFSI vertical leaders, client partners, and solutions heads at the outsourcers. Represent Krisp at Money20/20, InsureTech Connect, FS-ISAC, ABA, BAI, LIMRA, and the fraud and contact center circuits.
Run demonstrations and build business cases tailored to financial services buying centers. Translate Krisp’s capability into the language these buyers already use: right-party contact, average handle time, first contact resolution, complaint volume, fraud loss, and cost to serve. Work with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product through negotiation, security review, onboarding, and deployment.
Report back what the vertical is actually buying. Where voice fraud and deepfake risk is changing authentication spend. How offshore and nearshore delivery decisions are being made. How PCI DSS, GLBA, NYDFS Part 500, DORA, and FCA Consumer Duty requirements shape procurement. What competitors are winning with. Deliver it to Product, Marketing, and Sales in a form they can act on.
12+ years in business development, enterprise sales, partnerships, or a senior operating role inside banking, financial services, or insurance, or equivalent. A record of opening enterprise financial services accounts and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals. Direct bank, insurer, or financial services BPO operating experience counts in place of a pure sales background.
Active relationships across banks, card and payment providers, lenders and servicers, insurance carriers and TPAs, and the BFSI-focused outsourcers and GCCs. Ability to turn those relationships into first meetings quickly.
Fluency in financial services buying centers and vocabulary: servicing, collections and right-party contact, disputes and chargebacks, first notice of loss, policy servicing and claims handling, fraud operations and caller authentication. Working knowledge of PCI DSS scope in the contact center, third-party risk review, and the conduct rules that govern customer calls. Able to build a business case with real numbers. Strong presenter in English.
Based in the United States, remote, with global vertical ownership. 30% to 40% travel, including international. Comfortable working across time zones with a global team.
Self-starter who can build a vertical from a standing start. Credible with operations, fraud, security, and procurement audiences in the same week. Relationship-oriented, direct, and comfortable owning a market alone.
