Join our team as a Senior Delivery Manager and play a key role as Engagement Lead, owning client relationships from initial engagement through successful delivery and value realization. Act as the single orchestration point between Sales, Client Partners, Delivery, Solutions and client stakeholders to ensure commercial commitments are translated into high-quality execution and long-term partnership. We are particularly looking for candidates with hands-on experience in the Insurance industry, who understand the business, regulatory and technical landscape of this domain and can apply that knowledge from day one.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary engagement owner from opportunity qualification through delivery execution and stabilization
- Establish trusted relationships with client sponsors, business owners and IT leadership
- Own client communication cadence, escalation management and expectation setting
- Drive value realization by ensuring that outcomes align with client business objectives and are demonstrably tracked against agreed benchmarks
- Partner with Sales, Client Partners and Solution Architects during pre-sales to shape engagement model, delivery approach and validate solution feasibility from a technical and commercial perspective
- Own deal-to-delivery transition, including handover, scope clarification and governance setup
- Ensure SOWs, commercials and delivery plans are aligned and executable
- Align Delivery Managers, Program Managers and Tech Leads around objectives, milestones and quality standards, with ability to engage on technical and architectural decisions where needed
- Ensure delivery governance is in place, including evidence-based cadence, measurable KPIs and escalation paths
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies and scope evolution, including driving AI adoption in delivery teams to improve SDLC efficiency
- Oversee architecture governance across engagements, ensuring proposed solutions are reviewed, aligned with client constraints and meet required quality standards
- Ensure delivery practices align with insurance industry regulatory and compliance obligations, including awareness of audit trails, data handling requirements and change control processes relevant to regulated environments
- Manage delivery across core insurance domains such as policy administration, claims, underwriting or distribution platforms, ensuring business context is maintained throughout the engagement
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years in IT services, consulting or digital delivery environments
- Proven experience in at least two of the following: client engagement leadership, delivery management, pre-sales or account management
- Experience managing complex, multi-stream delivery
- Strong understanding of SOWs, commercials and delivery models
- Client leadership and stakeholder management skills, including senior client and IT stakeholders
- Engagement governance and delivery orchestration experience
- Commercial acumen in scope, margin and change management
- Structured communication and escalation management skills
- Systems thinking with ability to connect sales, delivery and operations
- Working knowledge of solution architecture fundamentals sufficient to engage credibly with architects and clients on proposed designs
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices across the SDLC (code quality, CI/CD, testing, common tooling) and with architecture governance processes
- Basic awareness of security and compliance standards relevant to IT delivery (e.g. data privacy, ISO/ITIL-aligned practices)
- Practical experience with AI in delivery — either delivering AI-based solutions or driving AI adoption in SDLC on a strategic and hands-on level
- Experience delivering solutions in the insurance sector, covering at least one of: policy lifecycle, claims management, underwriting or distribution channels
- Familiarity with insurance-specific regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II, GDPR in financial services context, or local insurance authority requirements depending on market
- Understanding of insurance data models and integration patterns, including exposure to legacy core systems (mainframe or monolithic policy/claims platforms) common in the industry
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)
