Senior Database Operations Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Database Operations Engineer to ensure optimized performance and stability in regulated high-availability environments while managing and maintaining enterprise content management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize DB2 (LUW and/or z/OS) databases addressing schema understanding, performance tuning and backup and recovery needs
• Oversee the operation and support of IBM CM, FileNet and Documentum products
• Configure and manage Linux OS to support enterprise systems
• Administer IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) in clustered environments
• Resolve complex technical issues with a proven approach to troubleshooting
• Collaborate on production support tasks including incident triage, root cause analysis and implementing preventative improvements
• Ensure documentation and knowledge-sharing practices are maintained across the team

Requirements

• Familiarity with regulated high-availability environments
• 3+ years of combined experience with DB2 (LUW and/or z/OS), Linux OS and IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
• Background in IBM CM, FileNet and Documentum products
• Showcase of expertise in performance tuning, capacity planning and issue resolution
• Capability to perform production support tasks such as triage, root cause analysis and preventative actions
• Proficiency in managing enterprise environments using technologies like Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2+)

Nice to have

• Understanding of event-driven and asynchronous patterns
• Experience with IBM Content Navigator
• Skills in Bash scripting
