Senior Data Quality Engineer
We are hiring a Senior Data Quality Engineer to strengthen data validation, advanced SQL checks, and modern testing practices across critical datasets. Responsibilities
- Create, run, and maintain test cases for data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data quality checks
- Analyze and validate large, complex datasets using advanced SQL queries
- Verify APIs and data integrations using Postman or comparable platforms
- Assist QA efforts for AI/LLM-enabled solutions and data-driven applications
- Build and support basic automation scripts using Python or Java
- Review data models, metadata consistency, semantic layer mappings, and configuration files for accuracy
- Check YAML and other configurations to ensure reliability and correctness
- Partner with engineering, product, and data teams to surface defects, investigate root causes, and raise overall quality
- Improve QA processes, automation habits, and testing standards through continuous refinement
- Take part in release validation, regression cycles, and production issue investigations as needed
Requirements
- Proven track record of 3+ years in data quality and ETL testing
- Advanced SQL expertise paired with strong data validation methods
- Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Working knowledge of basic test automation in Python or Java
- Strong analytical ability for troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher
Nice to have
- Knowledge of data modeling principles and metadata management
- Familiarity with semantic layers and modern data architecture patterns
- Experience with AI/LLM testing and validation methods, plus YAML or configuration-driven systems
- Practical expertise with BigQuery, Snowflake, or comparable cloud data platforms
- Comfort working in Agile development environments
