We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in the AtScale tool to join our team and help design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions. In this role, you will work on complex analytical systems, focusing on data modeling, semantic layers, and high-performance data pipelines. You’ll collaborate closely with analytics, BI, and engineering teams to ensure reliable and efficient data delivery for business insights.
Essential functions
- Design and optimize data models (Star/Snowflake schemas, fact & dimension tables, KPIs)
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt, Airflow, or similar
- Build and manage semantic layers / cube models, ensuring consistency of business metrics
- Integrate data models with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Optimize SQL queries for large-scale analytical workloads
- Implement performance optimization strategies (aggregations, caching, indexing)
- Work with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or Amazon Redshift
- Handle large-scale data processing using frameworks like Apache Spark
- Ensure reliable deployment using version control and CI/CD practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with strong expertise in SQL (complex joins, window functions, aggregations, performance tuning)
- Solid experience in data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas, KPIs, dimensional modeling)
- Proven experience with semantic layer / cube modeling
- Hands-on experience with AtScale (mandatory)
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake and/or Amazon Redshift)
- Experience integrating with BI tools (Tableau and/or Power BI)
- Strong understanding of performance optimization and caching strategies
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines (dbt, Airflow, or similar)
- Experience with distributed data processing (Apache Spark or similar)
- Familiarity with version control and CI/CD for data workflows
- Upper-intermediate level of English (B2 or higher)
