We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join an impactful engineering initiative delivering high-value data solutions for a global leader in digital payments and financial technology. In this role, you will play a pivotal part within a dedicated Grid Dynamics squad (working alongside Senior Java Engineers and a Data Engineer) while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders and a nearshore engineering hub based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Essential functions
- Architect, design, and deploy complex, interactive dashboards and enterprise visual reporting solutions using PowerBI and Tableau to address strategic business requirements.
- Lead analytical initiatives within the squad, partnering with Java Engineers and Data Engineers to ensure seamless end-to-end data pipelines, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Drive AI-related analytics projects, integrating intelligent insights, predictive metrics, and automated workflows into client-facing and internal dashboards.
- Translate ambiguous, multi-layered financial and payment domain problems into structured analytical frameworks, key performance indicators (KPIs), and executive-level recommendations.
- Own the end-to-end dashboard lifecycle: from requirement gathering and data modeling/validation to deployment, stakeholder alignment, and continuous performance tuning.
- Act as a key point of contact for Belfast-based product owners and business leaders, mentoring team members, enforcing best practices in data visualization, and ensuring rigorous data accuracy.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Advanced Analytics, with a proven track record in a Senior or Lead capacity.
- Expert-level proficiency in both PowerBI and Tableau, including advanced DAX, LOD expressions, complex data modeling, row-level security (RLS), and dashboard performance optimization.
- Strong expertise in SQL for complex data extraction, aggregation, window functions, and data quality validation.
- Demonstrated experience leading AI-driven or advanced analytics projects and bridging the gap between engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize deliverables, and articulate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in fluent English for daily engagement with Belfast-based leadership.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
