We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Migration Engineer to execute and support enterprise migrations of applications and infrastructure to AWS while ensuring operational continuity, regulatory compliance, cost awareness, and cloud best practices. Responsibilities
- Execute the AWS migration strategy, including rehost and replatform approaches, following the defined roadmap
- Contribute to wave-based planning and help prioritize applications to reduce risk and deliver business value
- Build and validate secure, scalable, and resilient AWS architectures aligned to regulatory needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across infrastructure, architecture, security, development, and business functions
- Apply cloud governance, security controls, and FinOps practices to help optimize costs
- Identify and manage migration risks and dependencies, and support mitigation plans to maintain operational continuity
- Track and report key metrics for progress, cost, performance, and stability to your team and stakeholders
- Operate and execute migration activities directly in the AWS console
- Share knowledge and support adoption of the cloud operating model across teams
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in AWS cloud migrations in enterprise environments
- Ability to take technical ownership of migration tasks with sound judgment
- Planning skills to support wave-based migration execution and application prioritization
- Strong AWS skills across core services such as EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch
- Solid cloud architecture knowledge covering security, scalability, resilience, networking, and automation (IaC)
- Ability to advise stakeholders and connect cloud outcomes to business value
- Strong communication skills to work with technical teams and, when needed, broader audiences
- Adaptability and a results-driven mindset
- English proficiency: B2 Upper-Intermediate
Nice to have
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (or equivalent)
- Project management certification or Agile framework certification
- Experience working in regulated, high-criticality environments (ideally financial sector)
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux, plus middleware and web platforms such as WebLogic and IIS
