Senior Automation Tester
We are looking for a Senior Automation Tester with combined expertise in test automation and performance engineering to join our team.
The ideal candidate is fluent in both technical aspects and communication with managers and directors, capable of executing load scripts and presenting findings to management. Experience in each track, experience managing small teams, and a proven ability to translate technical results into clear and actionable business recommendations are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts to support high-quality software delivery
- Plan and execute performance and load testing activities across various applications and environments
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams to define testing strategies aligned with project goals
- Lead and coordinate the work of small teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring timely delivery of results
- Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimization strategies to improve system performance and stability
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reports, translating technical outcomes into clear business insights for senior stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with managers and directors to align testing outcomes with organizational goals and priorities
- Track and manage incidents identified during testing, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up until resolution
- Continuously improve automation and performance testing practices by introducing new tools, techniques, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 3 years of professional relevant experience combining test automation and performance engineering
- Hands-on experience developing test automation with Selenium and/or for Android/iOS mobile applications
- Strong understanding of WebDriver architecture and the Page Object Model design pattern
- Proven experience automating Single Page Applications (SPAs), with the ability to explain and demonstrate approaches used
- Solid programming skills in Python or Java for building robust automation solutions
- Practical experience developing load scripts with JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar performance testing tools
- Strong knowledge of communication analysis tools (sniffing) for troubleshooting and traffic inspection
- Proficiency in using Git repositories and CI tools for source control and automated pipelines
- Solid knowledge of databases for data validation and test data management
- Good understanding of HTTP, REST, and SOAP protocols and web services, with strong expertise in the HTTP protocol
- Proven experience managing projects with teams of at least 5 people
- Experience generating executive-level reports of performance tests to support decision-making
- Skilled at recording and tracking incidents identified during testing activities
- Strong executive communication skills, with direct experience interacting with managers and directors and translating technical findings into business language
- Ability to present results, risks, and recommendations to high-level stakeholders
- Comfortable working in English-speaking environments (B2 level or higher)
