Join EPAM as a hands-on Salesforce Functional Engineer to identify process inefficiencies, translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions and drive end-to-end improvements across the platform.
You will combine Salesforce functional expertise with technical awareness, stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to independently drive initiatives from discovery through go-live. This is more than a pure development role; you will review Apex and Lightning Web Component (LWC) logic, understand system impacts and collaborate closely with development teams to recommend improvements.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify operational pain points, process gaps and platform inefficiencies across Salesforce environments
- Conduct Salesforce health audits and recommend scalable improvements related to automation, data structure, usability, governance and technical debt reduction
- Gather, analyze and translate business requirements into actionable user stories, functional specifications and solution designs
- Configure and optimize Salesforce declarative solutions including Flows, Validation Rules, Permission Sets, Page Layouts, Reports, Dashboards and Object Relationships
- Collaborate with Salesforce developers and technical teams to review solution approaches, understand custom logic impacts and recommend functional or technical improvements
- Drive functional initiatives from discovery and solutioning through UAT, deployment, hypercare and post-production support
- Manage stakeholder expectations by balancing business priorities, technical constraints, platform scalability and delivery timelines.
- Maintain solution documentation, process flows, governance standards and best practices to support long-term platform stability and adoption
Requirements
- Proven experience in Salesforce functional consulting, platform administration, techno-functional delivery or related CRM transformation roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative capabilities including Flow Builder, Validation Rules, Security & Permissions, Reports, Dashboards and Data Modeling
- Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, declarative versus customization approaches and development concepts including Apex, Triggers and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand Apex or LWC implementations, assess system impact and provide technical improvement recommendations
- Track record of successfully gathering business requirements, conducting stakeholder workshops and translating business processes into actionable Salesforce solutions
- Experience working within Agile, hybrid or iterative delivery environments with exposure to backlog coordination and cross-functional collaboration
- Exceptional stakeholder communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated problem-solving mindset with the ability to proactively identify root causes and recommend practical, scalable solutions
Nice to have
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ, DocuSign CLM or quote-to-cash processes
- Active Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Business Analyst or Platform App Builder
- Exposure to enterprise governance, integration projects, data compliance or multi-cloud Salesforce environments
