Essential functions
- Operate robots in teleoperation sessions to collect manipulation datasets, following lab protocols
- Set up and reset scenes, objects and tools between data collection runs
- Do basic quality checks on collected data, then organize and upload it according to lab standards
- Help maintain manipulators, grippers, cameras and sensors: routine checks, calibration, cabling and small repairs
- Troubleshoot simple hardware, connection and Linux issues, and escalate to engineers when needed
- Help integrate new tools and scene components into experimental setups
- Keep the equipment inventory and maintenance log up to date
Qualifications
- Student or recent graduate in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, Computer Science or a related field
- Available to work on-site in the Krakow lab on a regular schedule
- Practical interest in hardware, shown through university projects, robotics clubs, competitions or personal builds (assembling, wiring, fixing equipment)
- Basic familiarity with Linux and the command line
- Basic programming skills in Python or C++ (coursework level is fine)
- Careful and reliable: follows procedures and keeps accurate notes
Would be a plus
- Any exposure to ROS/ROS2, robotic arms or motion planning (e.g., from courses or projects)
- Basic networking knowledge (connecting devices, IP configuration)
- Experience with cameras or depth sensors, or an interest in computer vision
- Basic CAD skills for simple mounts or fixtures
- Familiarity with Docker
