About the role
You'll be the first dedicated QA engineer on a brand new ATM team — building testing practices from scratch, defining quality standards, and owning coverage end-to-end as the product takes shape.
What you'll do
- Work across ATM frontend and backend services — from UI and device interactions to transaction flows and APIs — on a greenfield project with no inherited technical debt
- Build and own test automation frameworks from the ground up, with full technical authority over testing architecture
- Collaborate directly with developers, system analysts, and DevOps as an embedded quality owner, not a late-stage gatekeeper
What you'll own
- Design, maintain, and execute test cases for ATM frontend and backend services
- Perform manual and automated API testing using Java/Kotlin and Postman
- Build, maintain, and improve test automation frameworks and suites
- Define and refine test strategies to ensure coverage across all components of a microservices-based architecture
- Document defects clearly, analyze test results, and communicate risks and blockers to QA leads
- Estimate testing efforts and contribute to planning across delivery cycles
What makes you a strong fit
- 3+ years of experience in QA Engineering or a similar role
- Solid programming skills with understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns
- Proven experience building or maintaining test automation frameworks
- Strong API testing skills — manual and automated
- Familiarity with microservice architectures and distributed systems
- Experience with Kubernetes and GitLab CI/CD
- English B2 or above — written and spoken; required for daily work with an international team
- Willingness to relocate to Manila, Philippines — mandatory requirement
