We are seeking an experienced Python Team Lead to head a supplier team within the AI Acceleration group, focusing on building and enhancing AI agents and agentic capabilities to support BI's transition to AI Native teams. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, driving innovation across AI-driven quality and automation platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead a supplier team working within the AI Acceleration group, focusing on building and enhancing AI agents and agentic capabilities
- Analyze, leverage and improve existing AI agents, tools and frameworks, ensuring alignment with BI and Enterprise needs
- Drive the enhancement of the SAGE (Smart Augmented Quality Engineering) platform, including tuning test-generation and self-healing agents, and development of new agents (e.g., Contract testing agents)
- Automate high-impact engineering workflows through integration of existing or newly developed AI agents (such as Agile and QE agents)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BI, Enterprise, QE, Agile) to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable AI solutions
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning and high performance
- Ensure best practices in AI engineering, quality assurance and agile methodologies are followed throughout the project lifecycle
- Communicate progress, challenges and solutions to stakeholders, providing technical leadership and strategic direction
- Own the architecture and technical direction of AI/agentic systems, ensuring scalability, reliability and maintainability
- Define and enforce best practices for agent design, orchestration and evaluation
Requirements
- Proven experience leading teams in AI/ML engineering projects, preferably in agentic systems or automation platforms
- 5+ years of experience in AI agent development, tuning and integration with Python, ML frameworks and agentic architectures
- Deep understanding of quality engineering, test automation and self-healing systems
- Experience with Agile methodologies and transitioning teams to AI Native practices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and mentoring skills
- Ability to analyze complex workflows and identify automation opportunities
