Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer

Project description

Project is related to regulatory reporting for one of Clients from Investment Banking area using OpenEdge (Progress 4GL) technology. There is an exclusive team developing & supporting approx. 25 systems in Securities area using Progress OpenEdge solution. Current OpenEdge team is located in Wrocław.

SKILLS

Must have

• Overall, 5+ years of professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer.
• Comprehensive skills in Bash scripting for automation and system management.
• Ability to perform system administration tasks related to the Progress 4GL OpenEdge environment
• Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, IT networking and performance analysis.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with shell commands, file manipulation, and process control.
• Familiarity with GitLab / another version control and collaboration and automated deployment tools.
• Understanding of system security and access controls.

Nice to have

• Experience managing and administering Progress 4GL OpenEdge databases. • Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
