Description
The company is Global Services & Customer Engagement organization is hiring a Professional Services Engineer (SW Developer) — a senior technical leader at the intersection of software engineering, AI, and professional services. Reporting to the Services Director, the engineer owns the technical backbone of the Field Deployment Engineering (FDE) program, builds custom integrations for complex customer environments, serves as the internal escalation authority for challenging deployments, and drives AI-powered automation across the global services organization. Globally-scoped, customer-facing, up to 50% international travel (Americas, EMEA, APAC).
Responsibilities:
FDE Program — Technical Ownership
- Own technical definition, scoping methodology, and quality standards for the FDE program across all global regions
- Partner with regional directors and delivery teams (Americas, EMEA, APAC) to scope engagements, define solution architectures, and ensure technical feasibility before commitments
- Travel onsite to lead scoping workshops, architecture sessions, and deployment reviews
- Build reusable FDE frameworks, templates, and tooling that scale across regions
Software Engineering & Customization
- Design, develop, and deliver custom integrations, workflows, and extensions connecting Cellebrite platforms with customer environments (APIs, data pipelines, automation layers)
- Engage directly with enterprise customers to co-design solutions and validate technical outcomes in the field
- Translate complex customer requirements into robust, maintainable technical solutions
- Maintain a library of reusable solution components and accelerators
Technical Escalation & Architecture
- Final internal escalation point for complex deployment challenges, architecture questions, and technical blockers raised by field teams globally
- Travel to customer sites for high-stakes engagements
- Conduct architecture reviews for non-standard / high-complexity implementations
- Collaborate with R&D and Product to bridge field realities with product capabilities
Internal Automation & Process Innovation
- Identify and build AI-powered and automated tools improving efficiency, consistency, and quality of services delivery globally
- Apply modern AI/ML techniques — LLM-based tooling, agents, workflow automation — to internal processes across the services lifecycle
- Champion continuous improvement through engineering
Requirements
Must-have skills:
- Backend engineering — 7+ yrs, Python preferred (Node.js / Java accepted) (20%)
- REST APIs, webhooks & data-pipeline integration — building and integrating (15%)
- Practical AI/ML — LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic), agentic workflows, production AI tooling (15%)
- Cloud infrastructure — AWS / Azure / GCP, Docker / Kubernetes, CI/CD (12%)
- Professional services background — field engineering, solutions consulting, customer-facing delivery; scoping & architecting with enterprise customers (12%)
- Enterprise data environments — SQL / NoSQL, data transformation, ETL (10%)
