NetSuite Tech Lead (Hyderabad-based)

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Tech Lead to support a major client project. This role requires strong hands-on development expertise combined with technical leadership, solution ownership, and delivery coordination. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, solution design, documentation, implementation, verification, and ongoing support. You will help drive technical decisions, guide implementation best practices, and leverage native NetSuite functionality to deliver scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions. This position is intended for Hyderabad-based candidates who are available to work from the office.

About the Team

You will work with stakeholders, implementation teams, developers, and senior leadership in a collaborative delivery environment. The team focuses on technical solution ownership, development standards, and coordinated implementation across project streams.

Responsibilities

• Lead NetSuite technical delivery across the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, documentation, implementation, testing, and support
• Own and guide technical solution design for NetSuite enhancements and integrations
• Maximize the use of native NetSuite functionality to build high-quality and performant solutions
• Support and mentor developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and delivery standards
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, implementation teams, and senior leadership to improve operational efficiency
• Drive modernization of legacy NetSuite code and scripts
• Oversee API development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Support automated deployment and release management for NetSuite objects, scripts, and configurations
• Contribute to workflow automation, business process improvements, and technical governance

Requirements

• Strong experience as a NetSuite Developer, NetSuite Tech Lead, or in a similar role with hands-on technical ownership.
• Deep knowledge of REST APIs, including custom API development within NetSuite, along with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize API performance.
• Solid expertise with SuiteScript 1.0 and 2.0, SuiteTalk, SuiteCloud platform components, SuiteCloud CLI, and SDF.
• Experience using GitHub or similar version control systems for NetSuite development and deployment.
• Proven experience with automated deployment of NetSuite objects, scripts, and configurations.
• Strong ability to refactor and modernize legacy codebases, including migration from SuiteScript 1.0 to 2.0+.
• Experience mentoring developers or leading technical delivery streams
• Deep understanding of Order-to-Cash processes and experience customizing and automating NetSuite workflows.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Revenue Recognition processes and automation
• Familiarity with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), including revenue arrangements and revenue plans
• Understanding of integrations with eCommerce platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento
• Experience working in enterprise transformation or finance-related environments
