Mobile Automation QA Engineer (iOS & Android)
We're looking for a Senior Mobile Automation QA Engineer to join a team building impactful mobile solutions where quality directly affects real-world outcomes. If you're passionate about mobile testing and love working across the full stack, from device hardware to back-end services, this role is for you.
Essential functions
- Design and implement QA test automation infrastructure and test scenarios covering client–mobile–backend communication, including front-end, back-end services and mobile applications
- Design and execute end-to-end (E2E) tests for both iOS and Android, testing new features with a focus on deep internal behavior and OS-level integration
- Ensure seamless communication between devices, services and mobile apps through robust integration testing
- Learn and adopt new tools, features and platforms quickly (e.g., Datadog, Crashlytics, Raygun, Bugfender)
- Contribute to and evolve the team's automation infrastructure and testing standards
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience writing automated tests for mobile devices, preferably using Python (UI automation and integration tests)
- Experience with iOS testing tools: XCUITest, XCTest, Instruments or Xcode
- Experience with Android testing tools: Espresso, Instrumented Tests, Local Tests or Android Studio
- 1+ year of experience in automation infrastructure development
- Solid experience working with RESTful APIs
- Advanced English — written and spoken
Would be a plus
- Experience with Robot Framework or Cucumber using Python
- Familiarity with: AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack App Automate, Sauce Labs, WebdriverIO, Docker, AWS or Airflow
- Experience building or working with CI/CD pipelines — Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure AppCenter
- In-depth knowledge of mobile operating systems
- Experience testing Mobile SDKs, location-driven features, NFC or BLE integrations
