We are seeking a Middle / Senior Robotics Simulation Engineer with deep expertise in NVIDIA Omniverse to join our Robotics Lab team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing high-fidelity simulations of mechanical systems and complex environments inside NVIDIA Omniverse, seamlessly connected with Wandelbots NOVA.
You will sit at the intersection of robotics, simulation, and hardware acceleration, ensuring physical accuracy in behavior, kinematic constraints, and sensor emulation to reflect real-world performance. You will collaborate closely with robotics and ML engineers to test and validate cutting-edge optimization algorithms, driving the next wave of robotic intelligence.
Essential functions
- Simulation Development: Build, design, and optimize high-fidelity 3D simulations of mechanical systems and operational environments within NVIDIA Omniverse.
- Physics & Kinematics Calibration: Validate, tune, and calibrate physical parameters, joint constraints, dynamics, and kinematics to accurately mimic real-world system behavior.
- Automation & Scripting: Implement robust Python-based scripting for automated simulation pipelines, scene updates, interactive scenarios, and dynamic asset behaviors.
- Sensor Emulation & AI Integration: Emulate sensor data outputs (cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, force/torque sensors) and collaborate with robotics and ML engineers to test, benchmark, and improve optimization algorithms.
- Documentation & Asset Management: Document simulation logic, system architecture, workflows, and maintain clean, version-controlled 3D simulation assets and codebase.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of hands-on experience working with NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Unity, Unreal Engine, or equivalent high-fidelity simulation platforms.
- Strong baseline understanding of physics-based simulation, spatial math, 3D scene creation, rendering, and dynamic lighting.
- Strong Python programming skills for API integration, automation scripting, and logic implementation.
- Hands-on experience or working knowledge with CAD systems (any standard CAD software) for importing, editing, and optimizing 3D CAD models into simulation assets.
- Experience with Isaac Sim and Blender for asset preparation, rigging, and pipeline integration.
Would be a plus
- Experience with software development in Agile / Scrum team environments.
- Quick learner capable of rapidly mastering new robotics frameworks and emerging technologies.
- Strong collaborator and communicator with solid English skills (written and spoken) for cross-functional alignment.
