We are seeking a Middle Accountant to join our Argentina-based global shared service Accounts Payable group and ensure accurate, compliant financial processing. You will handle vendor payments, US GAAP expense postings, and SAP month-end close, while coordinating with statutory accountants and audit stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Validate expenditure documentation to ensure all accounting information is accurate
- Execute payments to EPAM vendors, covering domestic/international wires and both batch and individual transactions
- Book company expenses under US GAAP, including accounts payable and banking-related entries
- Carry out SAP monthly close tasks in line with internal procedures
- Coordinate with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping issues
- Deliver explanations and backup documents to Senior or Lead Accountants for assigned entities as needed
- Answer internal and external stakeholder requests, attend meetings, and prepare audit materials
- Support process improvement work with the IT team, spot optimization areas, and assist with testing new processes
Requirements
- Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of professional accounting experience or more
- Advanced Excel skills within MS Office for reporting and data analysis
- Strong detail orientation and disciplined compliance focus
- Demonstrated accountability and ownership of deliverables
- Ability to follow defined procedures and established guidelines
- Drive for ongoing learning and professional improvement
- Team-first approach with experience in multicultural environments
- English level B2+ (Upper-Intermediate) or higher, spoken and written
Nice to have
- ACCA or DipIFR certification
- Experience using SAP for accounting work
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable or Treasury processes
